Dominique Chen lives and works in Brisbane, Australia. She is a proud Kamilaroi woman and is passionate about communicating ideas of culture, place and environment through her work. She has spent almost a decade working in the corporate arts sector, as well as the not-for-profit sector facilitating multimedia and social enterprise initiatives in remote Aboriginal communities. She currently lectures at Griffith University (Queensland College of Art) in the areas of visual art and Aboriginal art, culture and socio-political histories. Dominique is also part of momo doto, an ongoing collaboration with Sydney-based artist Tom Blake. She is currently working on a collaborative project exploring cultural ontological relationships to perceivable, place-specific climate variability.
